Alamo Colleges new Technology Center
Alamo Colleges opened the newest technology center at the Central Texas Technology Center ribbon cutting. The Central Texas Technology Center, CTTC, is a community college-level trade school that is a shared benefit located between Seguin and New Braunfels by the municipal airport on FM 758.
The ribbon cutting was for the 2nd phase of the construction at the CTTC, an expansion of more than 16 months and $6.3 million dollars. The square footage was doubled, bringing the total number of students that it can serve to over 3,500. The new building almost mirrors the existing phase that was completed in 2004. The new building is home to classrooms, a library, conference rooms, faculty offices, and other areas offering student support and instruction.
Students can obtain technical certifications or even an associates degree. The CTTC offers a variety of classes, including welding, construction and automotive courses. There are even nursing programs and a college core curriculum that can form the basis for a two-year degree. Chester Jenke manages the school and has a repertoire with the students that allow for personal growth and development while maintaining the learning environment necessary to give students the tools for success.
The Central Texas Technology Center is a great opportunity for Seguin, New Braunfels, and the surrounding communities. Drive by and check it out today!
